A Specialist, Not A Generalist
Carleton Electric Ltd. was established in 1988 to provide electrical service and installation of a more technically specialised nature for a wide range of clients. That description has held up for almost forty years. In 2022, Carleton Electric joined ES Fox Limited, one of Canada’s leading multi-trade fabricators and constructors. The name on the truck did not change. The depth of resources behind every project did.

The People Doing The Work
Most of our team has been with Carleton Electric for ten years or more. Low turnover matters in a trade where institutional memory is the difference between a clean changeover and a difficult one. When a Hydro Ottawa coordinator picks up the phone, they speak with someone who has worked on the equipment before.
Safety As A Baseline, Not A Marketing Line
It is the policy of Carleton Electric to perform all work in the safest possible manner consistent with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable construction regulations. All employees are trained and compliant with applicable safety regulations. Every accident is treated as a serious matter and thoroughly investigated. We are bonded and insured at the level institutional and federal procurement teams expect: approximately five million dollars in liability coverage and one million in bonding. Documentation available on request at the bid stage.
